VOB PRO
VOB PRO is a full version of the program and addresses the needs of professional lens designers and electro-optical engineers. The main characteristics and functions of VOB PRO are listed in FEATURES table.

Among the most distinguishing features of VOB PRO that make it so attractive for the wide range of users are quick learning curve, user-friendly interface, three-dimensional graphic viewer. Output data and analysis may be presented in table and graphic formats including three-dimensional graphs and their sections. Zoom and rotation features are also supported. VOB PRO is a unique tool allowing for simulation, design and optimization of the electro-optical systems comprising optics, CCD cameras and scanning circuitry.

VOB Pro adds Local System Optimization and Holographic Optical Elements to the set of features of the other versions.

Optical system optimization is controlled and started from the optical systems table spreadsheet. Parameters to be optimized are highlighted in red.

Optimization was done on triplet lens in VOB optical system file directory. The before and after os files are in the VOB application notes directory. The triplet os file there has saved with it the optimization parameter and functions file that are not part of the standard triplet os file. Optimization ran for 25+ passes. Screen prints are for before and after with aberrations, spot diagram, optical system table, and optimization control tables shown. You can see this in screen shot.

The Aberration and Spot Diagram displays update as optimization progresses. See a before and after comparison of a triplet lens system with Aberration and Spot Diagram display as optimized by VOB Pro. For a more detailed explanation of the process see Help Holographic Optical Elements of limited types are part of VOB Pro. The optical system table and the zone table is shown. This is also in a screen shot. For details of the Holographic Optical Element equations see the help system.
